Pure launches 4th generation Evoke D4 and Evoke D4 with Bluetooth radios

Pure has refreshed its Evoke range of digital radios with two new models: the Evoke D4 and Evoke D4 with Bluetooth. Essentially revised editions of existing Evoke products, the new models include a new look and improved audio.

The revised Evoke D4 will come in a choice of real walnut or oak veneer finish. The Evoke D4 with Bluetooth, meanwhile, will be available with either "domino black" wood or "glacier white" matt finish. As the name suggests it gains Bluetooth for wireless streaming from a smartphone or tablet. If you want multi-room streaming, you'll have to step up to Pure's Jongo T2 speakers.

Both radios include FM and DAB tuners, a 3.5mm audio input for an iPod or MP3 player, headphone jack and touch sensitive Snoozehandle to make it easier to stop the alarm if you want 10 extra minutes in bed.

Pure says each radio has been hand-tuned to deliver "class-leading audio", with optimum audio profiles for each model to suit digital radio and wireless streaming respectively.

The Evoke D4 will cost £130, whereas the Evoke D4 with Bluetooth will cost £150. Both are due to go on sale in December.
