Apple is now selling the iPad Mini with Retina display through its online store here in the UK, three weeks after first revealing it.
This may have come as something of a surprise to many, following yesterday's reports that burn in issues with the high-resolution Retina display could have caused a shipping delay. Apple has proved its doubters wrong then, at least with the initial batch of tablets.
Rumours that the new iPad Mini would be in short supply could still prove accurate, however, as there's no indication as to how much stock Apple has in reserve. If the new model proves as popular as the original iPad Mini it may not be around for long before the company runs out.
Every model was still in stock on the online Apple Store at the time of writing, with prices starting from £319 for a 16GB Wi-Fi only model and £419 for a 4G tablet. The Wi-Fi only models are shipping in 1-3 days, whereas the 4G versions will ship in 5-10.
It appears that some retail stores are still waiting for their stock allocation, so the website may be your best bet for the time being.
