The BMW M3 2014 model year redesign has been the company's most-teased release for quite some time, but its latest video focuses on something new: the sound of the vehicle.
Due for a formal unveiling at the Detroit Motor Show in January next year, there have been several leaks already regarding the BMW M3 2014 model year redesign while BMW itself has been stirring the pot with timed releases of teaser information. Thus far, however, most leaks have concentrated on the obvious features such as the external appearance of the car - but BMW is looking to excite fans with a preview of how the vehicle will sound.
Designed to show off the new straight-six engine that will be a shared feature of the BMW M3 and M4 2014 model year line-ups, the official video reveals a throaty, powerful engine tone reminiscent of the company's previous E46 M3. Where that had a large 3.2-litre engine, however, leaks claim that the BMW M3 2014 and its specification-matched BMW M4 2014 coupé will feature a down-sized 3.0-litre codenamed S55.
Sadly, while BMW is keen to drum up interest in its vehicles with short teaser videos, the company is keeping quiet on formal specifications, pricing or availability for its next-generation M3 and M4 series. More details are expected to be released at the Detroit Motor Show in January, when both vehicles will be formally announced and shown off in retail-ready livery for the first time.
