Onkyo known for their highly efficient AV receivers and home-theatre systems has decided to change gears now. Shifting tracks, they have now launched a series of all-in-one speaker systems (LS-B50 and LS-T10) out of which the LS-T10 has reached the Indian shores first. The LS-T10 is from a new breed of style soundbars called the pedestal style soundbar. It sits under the TV instead of in front of it. It’s a small unit at only 27 9/16" W x 4 1/8" H x 13 3/4" D, which would make it a good companion of a 40” and under TV. At the same time, its small size also means it can be used as a music system sans any TV in the room. It can be easily used as an executive sound system for use in any room in the home where you want big sound in a discrete form factor. With Bluetooth and USB connectivity, in addition to 3.5mm analogue and optical inputs, the LS-T10 is certainly equipped for use as a standalone music system.

In terms of driver configuration the LS-T10 houses five “full-range” 3.75" cone drivers, a 5” down-firing subwoofer and two tweeters. Onkyo rates the unit to play down to 20Hz with a 150Hz crossover between the midrange drivers and subwoofer. The best part is that it can be controlled via your existing TV remote or also via the included remote, and includes an IR flasher as well.
The LS-T10 is available in India at an MRP of Rs 33,000.
