Indian smartphone manufacturer Micromax has definitely been busy this month. After roping in Hollywood biggie Hugh Jackman as the brand ambassador for its Canvas series of smartphones and showing off a teaser trailer for the upcoming Canvas Turbo, a fresh leak now suggests that the company may be working on yet another device. Information from prolific Micromax tipster @MMXNewscaster has now revealed a press image and some specifications of a device titled the Canvas Magnus A117. According to the leak, the device might come with a 5-inch 720p display. Internally, the device might come with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Other features hinted at include a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter and 4GB of internal memory. The device may come running on Jelly Bean 4.2 and could be powered by a 2,000mAh battery.

These details, if true, could slot the device just below the Canvas 4 A210, and could come with a price tag ranging from Rs 16,000 to Rs 17,000. There hasn't been any word from the company about this so there is, unfortunately, no way to validate any of these claims. While the new device is definitely interesting, all focus is still fixed on the upcoming Canvas Turbo. A host of leaks have helped to paint a pretty clear picture of what we can expect from the company’s upcoming flagship device. So far, it looks the device may come with a 5-inch display with full HD 1080p resolution. We can also expect a quad-core processor, although there is no word yet on the amount of RAM the new device may come with. On the camera front, the device might come with a 13-megapxiel primary shooter and a 5-megapixel front camera. While the price has not been officially released, speculation places the device in the Rs 20,000 to Rs 22,000 range, which makes it the most expensive smartphone that the company has worked on yet.
