Rockstar’s open-world epic, Grand Theft Auto 5, is finally out. The game has been in development for quite some time, and is the first major release in the franchise since 2008, which means that it has been almost six years since the last major installment. GTA 5 is available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for Rs 2,999. There isn’t any official word on the PC version, sadly enough, but this is normal for the franchise since PC versions of GTA games are generally announced and released around six months after the console release.
GTA 5 marks a big step forward for Rockstar because the game moves away from the franchise's original roots of just having one protagonist. In the game, players will be in control of one out of three protagonists—Franklin, Michael and Trevor—who they will be able to switch between at any time when not on a mission. When on a mission, players can switch between characters at specific points in order to get a different perspective or slice of gameplay.With GTA 5, Rockstar has taken on recreating a completely different city after the beautiful rendition of New York City we saw in GTA 4. This time, players go to Los Santos, which is a recreation of Los Angeles, complete with specific landmarks and areas. Players will also be able to take part in a number of activities, and for the first time since GTA: San Andreas, planes can be flown.Stay tuned to tech2 for our first impressions and review.
