How to Install ClockworkMod Recovery on the Motorola XPRT

CWM Recovery for the Motorola XPRT
If you have rooted your device but don’t have a custom recovery installed on it, then you’re not using all the features that the root-access has to offer. A custom recovery helps to install custom ROMs, make backups of your current ROM (nandroid backups) or erase all the data on your device, all from a single place. ClockworkMod Recovery, a popular custom recovery, is available for the Motorola XPRT smartphone and this guide shows how you can install it on your device. So, go ahead and flash the recovery on your device!

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. You can check out our root guides here and here, for Froyo and Gingerbread, respectively.
2. Make sure your device has at least 60% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Droid 2 Recovery Bootstrap — QR Code (Google Play Link)

III. Installing ClockworkMod Recovery on the Motorola XPRT:

1. Download and install the Droid 2 Bootstrap app on your device using the link given above.
2. Once installed, launch it from your App Drawer.
3. Tap on Bootstrap Recovery button in the app.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5. And you’re done!
Great! The recovery’s been successfully installed on your XPRT and you should be able to boot into the same by choosing Reboot Recovery option in the app!
