CEDIA stands for Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association. It is one of the very few bodies and also a leading one that aims at establishing clear and definite standards in the residential electronic systems design and installation (home-theatre installation). As a tool to achieve this goal, the association has designed a set of specific training modules targeted towards practising professionals from the AV installations industry. Started in 2003, the training programme and the subsequent certification is a decade old tradition that not only helps you achieve thorough technical knowledge but also helps you leverage the same to increase you business potential and opportunity. The very same, CEDIA training is now coming to India and we are sure that it's an event you wouldn't want to miss out on. We have spoken to Matt Nimonns of CEDIA Region 1 to find out about the details on the training earlier, and as a follow up of that interview, here's a lowdown on the complete details of the modules, the name of the presenter, duration and also the cost that you will have to pay for the same.

Geoff Meads
Geoff is a highly respected marketer and technical trainer with over twenty years experience in theHome Technology sector. He has worked for some of the most notable brands in the world including Dutch Electronics giant Philips and Hi-Fi experts Arcam specialising in audio, video and other home technologies. He now owns and runs Presto AV, a web design and technical training agency working with technology companies to develop websites as part of complete digital marketing strategies. Having experienced the industry from New York to New Zealand, Geoff enjoys a deep technical knowledge and embraces the demands of modern business. He’s taught for CEDIA for nearly ten years, is a key member the CEDIA Education Council and currently co-manages education for CEDIA Region 1.

Matt Dodd
In 2013 Matt took up the position with CEDIA as Education Director to head up the development
of the new Education Department for Region 1. Working alongside like-minded professionals within
the industry, Matt and his team continually develop bespoke, creative and interactive training material and his strong leadership capabilities assist in developing talented teams and individuals. Previously Matt held the Chair of Education position on the CEDIA Region 1 Board of Directors and the post of Vice-Chairman.
In addition, Matt is Co-Founder of Thinkingbricks Limited, a highly respected Home Automation business and a member of CEDIA since 2005. He heads up Sales and Operations for the company, forging new relationships with key accounts in all areas of construction to ensure the latest technologies and highest standards of installation are built into the fabric of the building.
