5.5-inch, quad-core Gionee GPad G3 phablet launched for Rs 9,999

Gionee has now launched a new smartphone for the Indian market, the GPad-G3, for Rs 9,999, and is available in black and white colours. The device was last seen when it appeared online last month. In terms of features, the new handset comes with a 5.5-inch LCD display sporting a resolution of 854x480 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with PowerVR SGX544 GPU coupled with 1GB of RAM. The GPad-G3 comes with 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded to 32GB via a microSD card. In terms of photography, the smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash light integrated as well as a VGA front shooter. The camera gets features like skin tone enhancement, gesture shot, smile detection and HD video recording options. On the connectivity-front, the handset comes with 3G, Wi-Fi support as well as Bluetooth, GPS and dual-SIM compatibility. The G3 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and packs in a 2,250mAh battery.
