We’ve had some classic hardware fun along with a fun game at the tech2 labs this week. Check out the top reviews of the past seven days you may have missed out on.Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 (5/10)While the game itself is pretty decent, the most important question that needs an answer is if the new game engine does enough to make PES 2014 stand out among other footballing titles. The answer, at least for now, is no. Despite this, the latest installation does enough to impress, especially those who have been long standing fans of the series. Player animations and interactions are perhaps the best we have seen in a football game so far, but game modes still leave much to be desired. While there is definitely a lot of football to look forward to thanks to this game, the chances of drawing FIFA fans over the fence seems slim. That being said, the overall feel does show that the game is steadily working on becoming a force to reckon with, and it is expected that the next installation of the game will come with even more action packed under the hood.

Western Digital Blue Slim 1TB WD10SPCX (7/10)In terms of performance, it outclasses both the Seagate SSHD as well as the UltraThin 500GB drives and it also offers a comparatively economical cost per GB. But this again faces the same dilemma as the 5mm slim drive when it comes to buying it over the counter. Unless you already have a slim Ultrabook (with a lower capacity 7mm SSD or HDD) whose storage you are looking at increasing or those who are looking at getting a new Ultrabook where you get the option to put in your own storage drive - the WD Slim 1TB makes a lot of sense. The WD Blue Slim 1TB drive does have competitors on multiple fronts and the only way we see it emerging unscathed, is if it makes the deal even sweeter by offering a more economical price point.

ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 (7.5/10)Considering most overclocked GTX 760s selling in the market are around the Rs 22,000 mark and over, the Rs 23,500 price point for the ASUS GTX 760 is quite competitive considering its build quality and performance. In most gaming benchmarks, we noted that the GTX 760 DC2-OC gave a performance at par and at times even better than last generation's GTX 680 which is quite impressive considering that card still sells for over Rs 30,000. It reaches close to the GTX 770 in some games, but in most other games, the GTX 770 was a much better card. On the whole, the GTX 760 DC2-OC is a great card for someone with a sub-25k budget. If you want to keep the budget under Rs 20k, the stock GTX 760 is still a decent card.
