As the rumoured launch date for the Nexus 5 is approaching, we’re being inundated with leaks coming from all over the world. Here’s another one that puts on display the phone’s alleged retail packaging, the neat box that the Nexus 5 is supposed to come in. The images were posted on a Korean site named UnderKG and – surprise, surprise – shows the retail packaging of the white variant of the Nexus 5. The other leaks have pointed to a dark grey body, quite like the newer Nexus 7.
There's a white variant!
The packaging however, shows that the white variant of the Nexus 5 will be pretty much like the newer white Nexus 4. The front face is black and once you flip the phone over, the white hits you. Aesthetically, the white Nexus 4 may have divided users, but Google seems to be intent on sticking to that design. Android Police says that it could be possible the packaging that has been leaked is only specific to South Korea, but it’s giving us a good look at what to expect from the device nevertheless. Earlier this week, Google erroneously made the Google Play listing for the Nexus 5 live for some users. The phone replaced the outgoing Nexus 4 on the page and was placed next to the new Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10. According to the listing, the 16GB variant of Nexus 5 is supposed to be priced at $349 and will also come in a 32GB variant. Both the phone and the latest iteration of Android, version 4.4 KitKat is rumoured to be launched on October 28.
