The next game in the Rayman franchise, Rayman: Fiesta Run, is hitting iOS and Android devices on November 7. The game will be available on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Amazon Appstore, and will cost roughly Rs 200. The game has been developed by Ubisoft Casablanca, and promises to improve on the original in every conceivable way.Set amongst maracas, hot pepper disco balls and a festive fiesta backdrop, Rayman will lunge for cocktail umbrellas, leap on limes, punch piƱatas and face new bosses and Invasion levels, raising the level of challenge in the game. The game has a total of 75 levels that have been created from scratch. It also has some social features that lets players share achievements and challenge friends.
As seen in the video, Fiesta Run looks like it’ll be just as gorgeous, if not more, as Jungle Run. This is largely owing to the versatile UbiArt engine, which allows developers to make high-definition 2D art. It is the same engine in which the PC and console-based Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends were made.Gameplay-wise, it looks like it will control the same as Jungle Run. Rayman will continuously run towards the end of the level, and it is up to the player to make him jump to avoid obstacles and punch enemies. The last game in the Rayman franchise was September’s Rayman Legends, which carried forward the same gameplay as Legends, but with much more refinement in the mechanics and a more painted look to the characters.
