NVIDIA announces GTX 780Ti at Montreal event

NVIDIA annonunced its latest high end card - the GTX 780Ti - at an event in Montreal last night. The card which is being touted as NVIDIA's new high-end gaming card and will launch in mid-November. This card is clearly being seen as the company's response to AMD's upcoming R9 290X.

NVIDIA did not announce any technical specifications of the card but the only thing known is that it has a 6+8 pin power input. On first glance it looks quite similar to the GTX TITAN and the GTX 780 thanks to the similar cooler being employed. According to Anandtech, the GTX 780Ti will most likely be priced at USD 650 and it will house the GK110 GPU.


Despite the lack of details, the company is not holding back from promoting the upcoming card. Nvidia India's Facebook page gives us a look at the new card and promises more details will be revealed soon.


It will be interesting to see how this card performs in comparison to the TITAN as well as the R9 290X. You can check out our first look at the R9, which we got to see first hand during the Hawaii launch.
