At its event today, Nokia has finally taken the wraps off of its much-awaited tablet. Dubbed the Lumia 2520, the tablet sports a 10.1-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio full HD resolution of 1920x1080. This gives it a pixel density of 218ppi. It runs on Microsoft's latest tablet-centric operating system—Windows RT 8.1.It packs quite a bit of power under the hood, with a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip by Qualcomm and 2GB of RAM. It also features 32GB of internal memory with support for a microSD card of up to 32GB. Along with this and the integration with SkyDrive, storage shouldn't be that much of an issue.


The shooter on the back fo the tablet is a 6.7 megapixel camera with Zeiss optics and an f1.9 aperture. The front has a 2 megapixel wide-angle HD camera. As for connectivity options, it is compatible with GSM, WCDMA and LTE bands, with a quoted speed of up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload over LTE. It also has A-GPS functionality with GLONASS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and NFC.

The Lumia 2520 is kept alive by an 8,000mAh battery with a quoted standby time of up to 25 days over Wi-Fi and video playback time of up to 11 hours. It measures at 267 x 168 x 8.9 mm and is a bit on the heavier side, weighing in at 615g.Nokia is also releasing a bunch of accessories along with the tablet, such as the Nokia Power Keyboard, which gives the tablet extra battery life and features a built-in keyboard, trackpad and 2 USB ports, and the Nokia Purity Pro Stereo headset, among others. The tablet itself will be available in red and white colours if you want a glossy look, or black and cyan if you like matte. The tablet will cost $499 (Rs 30,800 approx) and the keyboard will cost an extra $149 (Rs 9,200 approx).Here’s a quick summary of the specs:
