Itching for the new iPhone 5s or 5c? Here's how to get ahead of the queue!

The much awaited launch of the iPhone 5s and the 5c is coming up fast. The company had earlier announced that the new devices will be coming to the market on November 1, and it now looks like Apple is planning to launch the new iDevices in multiple cities on the same day. The list includes cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Ludhiana. So how can you be the first to get your hands on the new devices the moment they launch? A new promotion is being extended to users who want to be a part of a selected audience for the launches across different cities. Users need to register online with their contact details to get an invite for the launch. An entry voucher will be sent across once the user registers on the link. Given the massive lines that we saw when the new iDevices launched internationally, getting in line for the launch event definitely seems like a good idea. So what kind of specs can you expect from the new handsets? The top-end 5s comes with an all new A7 chip, which makes the handset the world’s first smartphone with 64-bit desktop-class architecture. Also integrated into the device is a Touch ID fingerprint sensor that will let users unlock the iPhone with just a touch of the home button.

The device is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB internal memory variants. Also packed in is an improved 8-megapixel iSight camera with a secondary True Tone flash. The 5s also comes with a new burst mode, slow-motion video at 120fps as well as the enhanced Photo app from iOS 7. There's a new M7 motion co-processor which ingests data from the various sensors of the 5s to deliver better response.

The 5c, on the other hand, is the company’s “budget” offering. The device comes in a range of colours, including blue, green, pink, yellow and white. The specs sheet reveals a 4-inch Retina display and an A6 chip running the show. Also strapped to the package is an 8-megapixel iSight camera.

The new device comes with a single, hard-coated polycarbonate body with a metal interior frame that doubles up as the antenna. Connectivity-wise there's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The 5c will be available in 16GB and 32GB variants. While the 5s has been priced at a massive Rs 54,000, the relatively cheaper 5c will set users back by Rs 42,000.
