Google has added three new changes to its Terms of Service that will go into effect starting November 11. One of the major changes revolves around "Shared Endorsements". Through this, the company will have the permission to add your profile name and photo to its properties. For instance, if you comment on a particular Google property like the Play Store, it can add your Google+ profile photo and name along to your comment. Moreover, this would also show up in ads for local businesses that you’ve +1d on Google+. However, the terms of service reveals that it plans to put users in complete control of it. The updated Terms basically allows users to decide whether their profile names and images can appear in a review, advertising, etc. on any Google properties or not. This can be managed through the Shared Endorsements settings. The feature should be disabled by default but in case it isn’t, then here’s how you can go ahead and do it yourself.
This is how Shared Endorsements wil pull your name and photo
Log into your Google+ account and head directly to Settings, which will appear as soon as you click on the “Home” button imprinted with the dropbox icon on the upper left hands side of your G+ page. Under Settings/Google+, you will currently find Shared Endorsements with two options - "On" and "Edit".
Hit on Edit
The page clearly explains everything about Shared Endorsements. At the end of the page, you will find a checkbox that states – “Based upon my activity, Google may show my name and profile photo in shared endorsements that appear in ads.” Simply uncheck the box and hit on the Save button right there to disable Shared Endorsements.

The Terms of Service will go live from November 11, so you can check again later next month if the feature is activated or not.
