Gmail rolling out swanky new login page

Google is bringing a nice refreshed look to Gmail’s login page. The new page puts focus on one account for all of Google’s services and looks very much like Google+ in nature. The new page was first seen by The Zinx and reported by The Next Web and is being seen by only by a few people for now. You can probably give it a shot and see if you have the new page by logging off Gmail and trying to sign back in again. This quiet little rollout is being seen across more and more accounts in the past few days, so it can be assumed that many more Gmail users can expect to see the new login page soon.

Very Google+

Very Google+

The most important part of this new login page is the fact that it shifts the pane from the extreme right of the page to the middle. Below the Google logo, you’ll find a tagline that says “One account. All of Google” .Accompanying the page will be the silhouette Gmail guy that comes with mails from receivers who do not have an image attached to their ID. If the service requires you to login all over again into a service, it will show you your own picture again. The images are placed in a circular cut-out that is reminiscent of images on Google+.

Interestingly, it has also been noted that Google has now started to save login history. So if you have multiple Gmail accounts – one for personal use, one for work – all you need to do is choose the account name, punch in the password and that will be all. Looks like an interesting bunch of features are coming up with this new page.
