BlackBerry has announced the roll out version 10.2 of its operating system across the world. The BlackBerry 10.2 brings out a set of nifty features such as instant previews, smarter keyboard, natural sounding video and voice conversations and more. Blackberry users can update their devices to this new 10.2 version once they get the alert in the notifications section of the BlackBerry Hub. Another option is to manually check for software updates in the "System Settings" menu and select "Software Update". The download will take place in the background, so users can continue to use the smartphone. However, BlackBerry recommends that one better take a backup of the data in their smartphone before proceeding with the update.

The new Blackberry 10.2 version brings a handful of new features. To begin with, the new Priority Hub learns which conversations are important and puts those messages at the top of your inbox. It also brings a new attachment view to help organise files and documents across your messaging accounts and within specific message threads. Blackberry v10.2 ensures that video and voice conversations between BlackBerry 10 smartphones sound “more natural and realistic”. Blackberry users can get instant previews of BBM, SMS and Email from any app. The Blackberry keyboard has also been improved to receive personalised next word suggestion, auto-correction, and better audio feedback with distinct tones for specific keys on the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Z30. Some other additions include lock screen notifications, reply now, calendar enhancements, updates to Docs to Go, a new BlackBerry Hub icon and camera enhancements. The update will be rolling out this week in Africa, Asia Pacific, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. Blackberry users in Latin America will get the update in November while users in the US can expect it sometime in winter.
