Homeland DLC for Splinter Cell: Blacklist adds new co-op and single player maps

Ubisoft has released a new DLC for its recent stealth/action game Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The DLC, named Homeland, is available on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for $6.99 (Rs 435 approx). The DLC adds a bunch of things to the game, including single player and co-op missions, four gear pieces, four suits and a new weapon.The maps are Billionaire's Yacht and Dead Cost, both of which can either be played solo or along with a friend. The gear pieces allow you to upgrade your existing gear by a fair bit, and the new suit will undoubtedly improve protagonist Sam Fisher's sneaking abilities. The new weapon is a crossbow which shoots bolts filled with sleeping gas.

In Splinter Cell Blacklist, Sam Fisher returns as the leader of 4th Echelon, an elite counter-terrorism unit armed with a new mandate to hunt down the masterminds behind The Blacklist, a series of deadly escalating attacks on US interests. To stop the Blacklist countdown, gamers will choose the best way to face any challenge by tapping into Sam’s arsenal of lethal skills and training.Splinter Cell Blacklist features a single player story, co-op missions and the return of the fan-favourite Spies Vs. Mercs multiplayer mode—all supported by a universal economy and customisation system that allows players to completely customise their game experience.Splinter Cell: Blacklist is out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The console versions cost Rs 2,999, while the retail release of the PC version costs Rs 1,499 and digital release costs $59.99 (Rs 3,730 approx).
