Google has sold its last 8GB Nexus 4 smartphone, leaving only 16GB models in the UK Play Store ahead of the Nexus 5 launch expected in October.
The Nexus 4 has already sold out in the US, with the company confirming it had no plans to restock ahead of its Android 4.4 KitKat-powered successor.
Instead, it will concentrate on the Nexus 5, which is expected to have a similar specification to manufacturing partner LG's own G2 handset. Expect to see a 5in, Full HD display, 4G compatibility and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor when it launches, potentially at an event on the 14th of October.
You can still pick up the 4.7in Nexus 4 from the Google Play Store, but only if you opt for the 16GB model. It impressed us with its gorgeous design, high quality display and powerful performance last year, when it cost £279.
Now that you can pick one up for only £199 it's a serious bargain, but it will soon be replaced with the Nexus 5 - which has already made several appearances ahead of an official announcement.
If you don't want to wait and are only interested in the stock version of Android, rather than the customised versions seen in the Samsung Galaxy S4 or HTC One, now could be your last chance to grab a Nexus 4 before Google inevitably raises the price of entry with the Nexus 5.
