AppleCare+ to cover iPhones, iPads, iPods for international travellers

With the launch of its new iPhones, Apple adds some more changes to its AppleCare+ service. It will now allow users to get their iPhone, iPad and iPod serviced in any country that offers AppleCare+, reports TechCrunch. Basically, it means AppleCare+ now extends its services to international travellers too. AppleCare+ is a service that covers iPhones, iPads and iPods against accidental damage and warranty-related issues. Earlier, users could access the service only where the iDevice was purchased from. However, keep in mind that not all replacement or repair offerings are available in every country. The reason is many countries do not keep stock of certain iPhone models. Moreover, any other rules applicable in a particular region will also apply.

It has also raised the service fees from around $39 to $79 (Rs 2,443 to Rs 4,900).
