Wordpress or Blogger, many people are confused what to try, I am talking of Self-Hosted Wordpress and not Wordpress.com. Many people are migrating from Blogger to Wordpress and some are migrating from Wordprss to Blogger Wordpress is awesome and has many plugins and many themes whereas Blogger does not have many themes and plugins. Adding widgets in Blogger is bit difficult like adding Facebook comment box is difficult and some other widgets. But, if you are using self hosted wordpress blog, you can just go to plugin and add the plugin and woh! you added Facebook comment box and other plugins at once. But blogger has many templates and you can customize it easily. Blogger is hosted by Google and they are having world's fastest server, even faster than your premium hosting. Okay, now let's go to our topic that wordpress is better or blogger.
Wordpress again rules. You can cache your website so you website loads faster in computers where it's opened once. Caching makes loading fast up to 2x. Blogger does not support caching at all. That's why I like wordpress.
Blogger has many many templates online and wordpress is also having many themes. But, Blogger templates are more beautiful than Wordpress's themes. Adding effects in Blogger template is much easier than adding in Wordpress. I was using Wordpress too but I didn't liked it's theme. Those who are beautiful (like Splash theme) are paid and those which are free are awesome (:P)af but most of the blogger templates are beautiful and only 10% of them are paid and they are also at the rate of maximum 20$ (there maybe some more available for more than 20$)
Even Blogs (Blogger) are not using caches, they are still faster. You can compare. Wordpress runs with many plugins, without any plugin, WP is nothing. You need to use over 6 plugins and that makes WordPress slow. Blogger is of Google and Google has world's fastest server. (My friend told Akamai is 30x faster than Google, but it does not host blogs so you cannot add Akamai into it.)
I was using Wordpress and I had habit of putting many lines in Tags and just 1 categories, but Blogger does not supports both. You can just add Tags and even that is having limit of 200 words whereas, in Wordpress you can use unlimited words. And, I read that If you use tags in WordPress then it's BlackHat SEO.
If you are using Blogger and planning to migrate to Wordpress then you can do it easily. You can import posts of Blogger to Wordpress but you cannot import Wordperss posts to Blogger (you need to use some of the tools online and even if you use them, you will see many post's having errors)
Wordpress is getting hacked these days, I was using 000Webhost (free hosting :D) and I saw there that WordPress is getting hacked, so Blogger are safe and does not get hacked because they are linked from Google Mail (Gmail) account and that is having best security.
WordPress gets spam very easily because there are hundreds of spamming bots which spam over 20k Wordpress sites in 5 minutes. You get over 20 Spam comments in a day if you are using WordPress and if you are running great site, they can go up to 100 Spam comments. You can use some tools which prevent those spams like Askimet is one of the best tool available. Blogger usually get's spam comments, I get just 2 spam comments in a day.

PluginsThe best thing about Wordpress is that, you can install unlimited plugins with just a single click. Over thousands of plugins available for your any need.
