How to take a screenshot on Sony Xperia Z - taking screenshot is something we have been doing For years. Capturing a print screen can be easily done on the computer as there is a dedicated button 'print screen'. Today the smartphones have become much smarter and they are capable of taking screenshots.

Take a screen shot on Xperia Z

well, at the first glance may sound and look quite simple but it takes some time to get acquainted with the process of taking a screenshot. you'll have to use two buttons of your phone - power button and the volume down button.

1. Default Android method using power and volume down

first press the power and the volume down button together. You need to hold those two buttons for at least two seconds and make sure that you press both the buttons at the same time. If you do not press the button the same time, it will not take any screenshot. Pressing and holding the two buttons together for a few seconds will take a screenshot and it will be saved to your album.

2. Hold power key

This one is simpler but has some limitations. Press and hold power key and you can see set of options such as Airplane mode, Shut down and Screenshot. Click on screenshot and image will be saved. The image can be found in Album as well as SD card >> screenshots.

Sony is offering this print screen feature from the recent android OS update - ice cream sandwich. all the Xperia phones have similar feature. There are some software on Google play which offer similar features with some twists and turns.

If you have everything required, you can proceed and if you don't have then you might brick your device.

How To Install CyanogenMod 10.2 JellyBean 4.3 ROM in Sony Xperia Z (for first time)

1) Open the ZIP and extract the boot.img from it and place in your desktop.
2) Copy the GApps in the SD card.
3) open the command prompt and the location of ADB and type the following code (make sure USB debugging is enabled and USB is connected):

 adb reboot-bootloader

4) Now, you will be in bootloader, and type this in Fastboot:

fastboot flash boot boot.img

5) Now, reboot the device in CWM Recovery.
6) Flash CyanogenMod 10.2 Zip from the SD card.
7) Flash the GApps (if you want)
8) Now, wipe the user data (DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET)
9) Reboot

If you want to flash a new build of CM 10.2 over CM 10.2 (earlier build) then do the following things:

1) Copy the CM10.2 Zip to SD card
2) Reboot to recovery 
3) Flash the ROM
4) Reboot!

 If you want to upgrade from CyanogenMod 10/10.1 then do the following things:

1) Copy CM 10.2 Zip to SD card
2) Copy GApps to your SD card
3) Reboot to recovery
4) Flash the CM 10.2 ZIP
5) Flash the GApps
6) Wipe the Data (DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET)

Sony Launches Xperia Z for Rs 38,990 in India

Two days ago, Sony announced the Xperia Z for India. The Xperia Z was launched by its newly appointed brand ambassador, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif . The Xperia Z will be available in stores from 12th March onwards and is priced at Rs 38,990. Sony Xperia Z will be available in three colours: black, white and purple. Xperia Z has water-proof and dust-proof body. The phone is IP57 certified, which means you can immerse it in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes. The phone is already up for pre-order on various online stores.
