Samsung Galaxy S4 Active refresher lands in Korea






The waterproof and dustproof variant of the South Korean company's 2013 flagship model, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active was not too impressive from it's internals. But today Samsung Korea introduced an upgraded version of their durable smartphone.

The new version is to hit the Korean markets with a Quad-Core Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 processor with Krait 400 Central Processing Unit (CPU) clocked at 2.3GHz and an Adreno 330 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), the same five-inches Full High Definition panel from the global edition, but with 1080 x 1920 resolution display marked at 441 pixels-per-inch this time, 16 and 32 gigabytes of on board storage option with two gigabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM), a much wanted upgraded camera scoring at 13 megapixels as primary shooter and a two megapixels front facer, both capable of recording 1080p videos. The smartphone is powered by a 2,600mAh battery and runs Android's version 4.2 Jelly Bean. The unit is weighed and measured same, at 139.7 x 71.3 x 9.1 millimeters in dimensions and weighs about 147 grams.

From the handset's connectivity department, the phone packs usual connections support with LTE-Advance speeds upto 150Mbps. The five-incher hard-wearing also sports IP67-certification out of the box, staying dust and waterproof for 30 minutes at three feet.

The new Samsung Galaxy S4 Active LTE-A will be sold through the Korean carrier SKT at a price about 855 USD.
