4.5-inch Idea Aurus 4 with Android 4.2 launched for Rs 8,999

Idea Cellular has launched a new smartphone for the Indian market, the Aurus 4, priced at Rs 8,999. The dual-SIM handset is the latest addition to the company’s Aurus series of 3G smartphone portfolio. A quick look at the specifications of the device reveals that the Aurus 4 comes with a 4.5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. Other details on the processor are currently not available. The system on a chip is coupled with a measly 512MB of RAM and the Aurus 4 runs on Android 4.2. Also part of the offering is 4GB of internal memory, out of which only 2GB will be made available to users. The saving grace is the presence of a microSD card slot, which can bump up the storage to a maximum of 32GB. The Aurus 4 also boasts practically unlimited entries in the phonebook and the call records.
