While talking about all the new features that Twitter for Windows Phone will be sporting with a new update, the micro-blogging site may have teased the upcoming Vine for Windows Phone application. A screenshot that had been up on the website clearly showed Vine installed on a Windows Phone, reveals The Next Web.It all started innocuously enough with a blog post by Twitter introducing new features that are to be a part of its updated Windows Phone application. The image intended to show that users can now easily access search from their homescreen by pinning a term to it. Accompanying the text was an image that showed Vine next to a search term, installed on a Windows Phone.
Teasing Vine
In July, it had been confirmed that the Twitter owned 6-second video sharing application, Vine, will be making its way to Windows Phone after it made its debut on iOS and Android earlier this year. Besides Vine, Path, Flipboard and Hipstamatic were also confirmed to come to Windows Phone store as part of the announcement for Nokia’s Lumia 1020 smartphone. Besides the leak, the blog post announced new features like the ability to see tweets on the lockscreen, a new dark theme, mobile notifications and other improvements for the Windows Phone version of Twitter. You can grab hold of Twitter for Windows Phone from the Windows Phone Store.Neither Microsoft nor Twitter has commented on this leak but it only looks like a matter of time before Vine for Windows Phone makes its way into the store. All eyes still on Facebook and Instagram for an official application of the image-sharing service to come soon.
