Samsung’s first phone with a curved display is now official. The neat device, called the Samsung Galaxy Round, with a 5.7-inch 1080p display has already been announced in Korea. While it looks quite similar to a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or a Samsung Galaxy S4, it is visibly curved and looks slightly like a cradle. Now, any new Samsung device usually causes a bit of a buzz on social networking websites like Twitter, but thanks to its drastic new looks, Twitter has been set alight by the Samsung Galaxy Round. Check out what the Interwebz has to say about the world’s first curved smartphone.Of course, like the funny guys that there are on Twitter, the tweets ranged from being funny to making interesting observations in their inimitable style:
Honestly, the Samsung Galaxy Round looks like someone took a rolling pin to the Galaxy Note 3.

I feel Samsung made Galaxy Round only because people will say, 'it rocks', since it literally does, when placed screen-up on a flat surface.

HEY GUYS I think I just figured out Samsung's inspiration for the Galaxy Round. pic.twitter.com/eiTzFIx0m7

Samsung Galaxy Round - when you out for picnic & forget spoons at home.

A Generation spent to straighten TV screen and gonna spend another in curving the mobile devices. http://t.co/CUE44ywW9V #GalaxyRound

There were some who were disappointed that the phone was named “Round”, when, clearly, the phone is curved:
Galaxy Round + Roll Effect = ROFL Also, I actually had to Google why this couldn't have been named "Galaxy Curve". http://t.co/UK2EEJjpVd

Seriously? They named it Galaxy round? Its should have been curve.. :P #Samsung

Some were very, very angry or completely disappointed with Samsung’s effort with Galaxy Round.
Galaxy Round is an example of why Samsung gets it wrong. Whats the use of a curved screen? Flexible screens must b used more innovatively!

I wonder why Samsung keeps dishing out garbage, one after another. Samsung Round!! You have a stupid product at least get a funky name.
— Vivek Srinivasan (@viveksrn) October 9, 2013
Samsung's Galaxy Round is the epitome of in-fighting with LG. "We got there first" and never mind if "there" is pointless. Sigh.

Samsung Galaxy Round with a curved AMOLED screen. These Samsung guys are firing too many technological volleys, a wee too fast maybe.

There was one person who was really amazed with the technology that reprised a popular book series for him:
Not sure about the 'roll effect', but curved displays are one step closer to Harry Potter style digi papers. http://t.co/lyppmRugGn

It was still followed by more disappointment, this time, about the price of the product that is in the vicinity of $1,000 (Rs. 62,945 approx.)
Now Samsung comes up with Galaxy Round!! Price Tag - $1000. Dafaq!
— Varun Painter (@ThoughtScripter) October 9, 2013
Can someone tell me how is the Galaxy Round worth USD $1013? Feels like Samsung's rushed something to the market to be first.

The obligatory comparison with Apple, this time, as a spoof.
Again, Samsung (with the Galaxy Round) is copying Apple. #sarcasm pic.twitter.com/wBYal5Xepn

To top it off, Joanna Stern of ABC News came up with a brilliant image to explain Samsung’s device strategy.
Really really wanted to make this the lead image. http://t.co/Gd7S63Zu89 pic.twitter.com/LYfZE3ZoTg
