Samsung Galaxy Round said to be in limited production; may not come to India

Want to pick up on the latest craze, the curved display Samsung Galaxy Round smartphone? Well, it may not work out that well for you as thanks to the latest reports, it’s emerging that the phone will be produced in a limited quantity.Sammobile’s sources have revealed to the publication that Samsung willl be selling limited quantities of the Galaxy Round units, even in home country South Korea. Moreover, it is being said that the phone is supposedly a mere prototype that the company has produced in order to test curved OLED displays.

This experiment likened the Samsung Galaxy Round to devices like the SCH-W850 and the Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE (SHV-E120S), which were also produced by the Korean giants in order to test AMOLED and HD AMOLED displays, respectively. For those not in the know, the Galaxy Round features a large 5.7-inch 1080p display as well as a 2.3GHz quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM. Fuelled by a 2800mAh battery, the smartphone is about 7.9mm thick and weighs 154 grams. The phone is supposed to retail in Luxury Brown for 1.09 million won, and there has not been any word for an international release despite many hankering for the product. All in all, the Galaxy Round seems to be rocking a body essentially the same type as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 minus the fun S-Pen support. However, if this experiment seems to pay off for Samsung, we could be looking at multiple curved-OLED phones from the manufacturer, expanding the Galaxy line of smartphones.
