Ubisoft has finally revealed the PC release date for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. The game will be hitting both retail as well as digital storefronts on November 22, which is three weeks after the console release date of November 1. The PC version of the game shares its release date with the Wii U, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. However, as things are, this is actually a major improvement for Ubisoft. The company has had a dodgy history when it comes to releasing games on the PC. A classic example is From Dust, which was widely panned for being a terrible PC port. Other examples include the first few Assassin’s Creed games: the first one saw a PC release five months after the consoles and the second one and Brotherhood both came to the PC four months after the consoles.
Edward & Co. looking badass
The company does seem to have improved in recent times, with the PC version of games such as last year’s Assassin’s Creed 3 or the recent Splinter Cell: Blacklist having superior PC versions.Considering the fact that the PC version of Assassin’s Creed 4 is being released alongside the next-gen console versions, we believe it would be a reasonable bet to believe that the PC version will be getting the same graphical enhancements as the Xbox One and PS4 versions. Ubisoft had earlier released a trailer that showed off the next-gen graphical enhancements making their way to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. The trailer talked about various new technologies, such as the multi-layered sea engine to simulate the sea and the lighting technology that went into making the dynamic weather system. This could, for example, allow individually-illuminated rain drops.
