Nexus 5 render teased by Spigen

Nexus 5 render teased by Spigen

The Nexus 5 leaks keep on coming. After a whole service manual of the phone leaked earlier this month, a render of the phone has now been released by phone accessory maker Spigen on Twitter. It must be remembered that Spigen had teased the Nexus 5 earlier too. But this time the company has given us a close-up shot of a render of the phone that matches up to the images leaked so far. Spigen’s tweet also comes with a line asking readers, “Where will you be when the revolution begins?” The image has the words ‘Nexus 5 Revolution. Be Ready’ superimposed on it. What kind of a revolution is Spigen hinting at? Perhaps, Google will continue the aggressive pricing of the Nexus series? We'll know soon enough. You can check out some more images of the Nexus 5 here.

In the new image, we see a large camera cutout in the back with the metallic ring around the lens. There’s a single LED flash, directly below the camera. A 3.5mm headset jack is visible on top, but unlike the Nexus 4, the slot has moved slightly to the middle, though it’s not centred on the top. We also get to see the volume rocker, which is very similar to the Nexus 4 controls. Interestingly, Spigen also gives us a glimpse of the purported front of the phone, which doesn’t have the specially-designed circular earpiece grille. Here, the earpiece is centred in the middle of the top bezel and is a slit just like the current Nexus 4.

We know quite a bit about the Nexus 5’s specs. It’s touted to have an 8-megapixel camera supporting optical image stabilisation and is also expected to feature a Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 330 graphics.
