Metal Gear Rising to headline PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection

Sony has revealed the next set of games that will be part of the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection. Headlining the month of November on the PS3 will be this year’s Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Along with this, gamers will also get Remember Me on the PS3. PS Vita gamers will get Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD and Motorstorm RC. These games will be available on October 23. Leaving the Instant Game Collection are Far Cry 3, Mafia 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Street Fighter X Tekken and Touch My Katamari.Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance takes place four years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which marked the end of Solid Snake’s saga. Instead of Snake, players take on the role of the much-hated-but-still-loved Cyborg Ninja Raiden, who confronts the private military company Desperado Enforcement. The game was developed by Platinum Games, and as a result, has very strong gameplay mechanics. Check out our review where we found it to be one of the most Japanese games ever made.

Remember Me is a sci-fi action-adventure game that takes place in Neo-Paris, in the year 2084. Personal memories are now digitised, bought, sold and traded. Players step into the shoes of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or alter their memories. After her escape from prison, Nilin has to recover her identity and is helped by her last friend. Expect lots of elements from the novels 1984 and A Brave New World from this game.Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD is an HD remake of the original Stranger’s Wrath. Players take on the role of a bounty hunter who tracks Oddworld criminals in an attempt to raise money for an unexplained surgery he needs to survive. Motorstorm RC has the same gameplay as older titles in the franchise, except in miniature form. Instead of full-fledged vehicles, players control RC vehicles in gigantic race courses.
