Yesterday the Chinese multinational technology firm and the Hollywood superstar Christopher Ashton Kutcher had event scheduled in Los Angeles, United States. Where came in two important announcements, first presenting the company's newly hired product engineer, non other than the Actor, Producer and Model, himself, Ashton Kutcher.
But showstopper was the new tablets introduced by the Chinese, the Yoga 8 and 10, yes coming in eight-inches and ten-inches versions with a humongous cylindrical battery and self built-in kickstand, by Lenovo.
From this new mate's industrial design, we must say, it's rounded edges gives it a perfect finish, where it cane be held in three different modes with the help of the self kickstand, first the traditional reading mode with the kickstand closed, next the opposite, standing mode, probably by opening the stand and placing it on a surface, finally in, the one from the above picture, tilt mode, when the tablet lays on a surface with it's face-up, which will be easy in all that typing works you do.
And now our favorite department, the specification listings. Regardless their on scree sizes, both this new tablets are identical from their internals, where they both pack a Quad-Core MediaTek Central Processing Unit (CPU) running at 1.2GHz, eight-inches and ten-inches of screen size with 1280 x 800 resolution display, 16 gigabytes of Read Only Memory (ROM) (expandable via microSD card slot), 1 gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), five megapixels main camera and 1.6 megapixels front facer, a mighty battery that powers the tablet for 18 hours on a single charge, as said by both Lenovo and their new employee, Ashton Kutcher. These Yoga tablets are powered with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Lenovo's new User Interface, that they have eventually removed the custom Android App drawer. You now need to scroll between homescreens to find your downloaded applications, something like the Apple's iPad does.
And before we wrap up, Lenovo is also offering a Bluetooth keyboard along with their new announcements at a price of $69, which will only be compatible with the 10-inches version. The new Lenovo Yoga tablets will be up for sales from today on the company's official webpage and on the online retailer, Best Buy, where you can grab a eight-inches variant for $249 and the ten-incher for $299.
