Leaked manual reveals specs of the Nexus 5

Leaked manual reveals specs of the Nexus 5

Since its dramatic appearance last month, a lot has already been said and written about the Nexus 5. Now, a new leak gives a closer and rather in-depth look of the Nexus 5. AndroidPolice has got its hand on a leaked document, likely to be an internal Service Manual for the LG-D821, that reveals it all. The document leaked a lot of technical information, flow charts, diagrams, and photos. However, the site has pulled out the images as requested by LG.Before it was taken down, the document showed line drawings and disassembly photos and went into great detail about how to repair the phone. Some pictures show a circle on the front of the device, which is supposedly a uniquely designed speaker grille. While the back is the same matte black material we have seen earlier.

Apart from the design which apparently makes it look like the G2, the document gave a sneak peek into the internals of the smartphone too. The document confirms a 4.95-inch 1080p IPS TFT display, 8MP OIS rear snapper and 1.3MP front-facing camera. Under the hood, one will find 2.3GHz a Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It has the usual sensors such as accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, proximity/ambient light and pressure

On the connectivity front, the document lists out support for UMTS/GSM/CDMA/LTE, NFC, and Bluetooth. All of this is fuelled by a 2,300 mAh battery, according to the report. Thankfully, the new Nexus smartphone will have a 32GB option as seen in the pictures showing the flash memory module inside the phone. Last month, the Nexus 5 was also spotted in a bar with Android KitKat boot screen. There have been several previous reports hinting at the launch of the Nexus 5 with rumours pointing towards a late October launch. It should also be noted that after the 8GB and 16GB Nexus 4 went out of stock on the Play Store, Google reportedly planned to halt their production for good. This is yet another indication towards a possible October launch for the Nexus 5.
