For those of you fretting about Grand Theft Auto Online’s multiple issues, there’s news that will make you heave a sigh of relief. Rockstar has rolled out an update to fix issues with PlayStation 3 and is also working on getting a fix out for Xbox 360 as soon as possible. The multiplayer mode that was launched earlier this week for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 has been causing multiple issues for users like slow load time and being stuck in the free-roam mode with no mission being available. Worst of all, some players have been completely unable to access the Online session at all, with an error message showing either "Rockstar Cloud Servers Unavailable" or "Failed to Host a GTA Online Session".
Patched up for PS3
In a blog post announcing the updates, Rockstar Games wrote that it had detected a PlayStation Network server issue on the PlayStation 3 which was limiting the amount of possible concurrent user and preventing most players from accessing GTA Online altogether. The company says that the problem has been resolved. There was another issue detected that was preventing players from getting through the first tutorial mission across both platforms. While some players have been able to get through this with repeated retries, the company says it is working on unblocking this for everyone soon. The team added that it experienced some instability across the GTA online services which has been affecting even people who have progressed beyond the tutorial mission. Rockstar is currently working on fixing this.“For the time being and until we have been able to get everybody access to GTA Online and things are running smoothly, we have disabled the option of purchasable GTA$ cash packs. Players can however keep on earning GTA$ by pulling off Jobs and other profitable gameplay activities rather than purchasing cash packs,” the blog read. Grand Theft Auto Online is a free part of GTA 5, currently out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for Rs 2,999.
