EE updates 4G mobile contract and home broadband bundles with free mobile data

EE has announced plans to shake up its 4G mobile contracts and home broadband bundles with the promise of free data for anyone signing up to both services.

Customers already qualify for a £5 monthly discount when taking out a fiber broadband package if they have a 4G mobile contract, but from the 30th of October they will also earn bonus mobile data allowances based on their price plan.

Anyone paying £47 or less for their 4G mobile contract will earn 10GB of free data on top of their monthly allowance when taking out home broadband. If you pay over £47 a month, that allowance doubles to 20GB. With the new mobile contracts announced earlier today, that potentially means getting at least 10GB of 4G data for £18.99 a month.

If you prefer to take your broadband with you, or don't want a home phone line, EE also revealed two new 24-month mobile broadband packages today. For £36 a month customers can get 20GB of mobile data for their tablet or MiFi dongle, or get 50GB of data for £50 a month.

All new and existing mobile broadband customers will also get EE's fastest double speed 4G network speeds, following the two-tier speed divide announced this morning.

The new price plans and bonuses come into effect from the 30th of October.
