The folks at Volition, being as cheeky as they are, have parodied the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 with a new DLC for Saints Row 4. Dubbed the GAT V pack, the DLC is currently free for a day, but will otherwise cost $2.99 (Rs 189 approx).GATV is centered on the character Johnny Gat and has a bunch of cosmetic items and a new weapon, called the Knifegun, which is a giant gun that apparently shoots knives. Only the PC version of the DLC seems to be free for a day, and is set to expire soon, so grab it while you still can.
Earlier, Volition had also revealed that there will be the Wild West add-on pack for Saints Row 4 soon. However, there isn't any release date or pricing for it yet. It will have a couple of new outfits for players—a cowboy set and a cowboy dress. It will also have a couple of new weapons, namely, a western-themed revolver and a western-themed shotgun.Saints Row 4 has been quite a success for publisher Deep Silver and parent company Koch Media. Just a few days after the game's release, the Koch Media announced that it had sold more than one million copies in the first week.“We are incredibly happy of the reception for Saints Row IV as a critical and now a commercial success,” said Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media. “The development team at Volition is second-to-none as a driving creative force in the entertainment industry and we are very proud to have them as part of the Deep Silver family.”Saints Row 4 is currently available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC through digital distribution platforms. The game costs $49.99 (Rs 3,167 approx) across all platforms.
