Lava has silently launched two new Android phones – Iris 505 and Iris 506q. Both are up for grabs through e-retailer Snapdeal priced at Rs 8,999 and Rs 11,700 respectively. Following the “phablet” trend, both Lava smartphones come with a large 5-inch display. To begin with, the Lava Iris 505 comes with dual SIM support. This sub-Rs 10,000 phone is equipped with a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM. The Iris 505 also gets the Android 4.2 version of Jelly Bean.

Then comes the slightly more expensive Lava Iris 506q with dual SIM capability and 5 megapixel rear camera just like the Iris 505. However, it gets a more powerful quad-core 1.2GHz processor, along with a 5-inch qHD display. The 506q also runs on Android 4.2 while rest of the specs are almost similar to the 505.
