Intex had now added two new devices to its smartphone portfolio, the Aqua HD and the Aqua i4, for the Indian market. While the Aqua HD will cost Rs 15,900, the Aqua i4 will set users back by Rs 9,490. A quick look at the specifications sheet of the Aqua HD reveals that the handset will come with a 4.7-inch HD TFT display with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1280. Internally, the device comes with a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589 SoC along with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 4GB of internal memory expandable up to 32GB via a microSD slot. The Aqua HD comes with dual-SIM support and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which can be upgraded through OTA, according to the company. On the camera front, the handset comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera that can record 1080p videos and has an LED flash. It also comes with a 5-megapixel front shooter. In terms of connectivity, the device comes with most of the suspects like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G support. Rounding up the package is a 1800mAh battery that can deliver up to 5 hours of talk time as well as 300 hours of standby time, according to the company.

The Aqua HD comes with most of the standard sensors like an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, light sensor and gyroscope. The company has also packed in a “Lookaway” feature that will allow the device to pause videos while the user is looking away as well as another feature called “My Screen” which offers multitasking options to the users.
