Here’s good news for Facebook users who’ve been long-anticipating the ability to edit posts. The social network has finally decided to let users edit posts and comments for web and Android. The feature will gradually rollout to users, so do not fret if you haven’t received it yet. Moreover, it will also be rolling the “edit post” feature for iOS users soon.Earlier a user had to outright delete a post to avoid embarrassment due to a poor phrase or typo, which eventually wiped off all the likes and comments too.
Editing abilities on the way
Having said that, it is quite likely that a user can simply change/edit the entire post to something people aren’t interested at all after getting a “100” Likes. In that case, Facebook has chosen to address the issue by marking the post as “updated”. It will also allow users to go back and check history of any edited post.
The new Android update also brings features like creating and sharing albums from their phones, viewing upcoming events, and also web-like support for emoticons.
