Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag trailer showcases characters

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for the upcoming Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. The trailer has Ubisoft's Matt Ryan playing the lead character for the game—Edward Kenway. The trailer focuses on the different characters that will be making appearances in Assassin's Creed 4.The trailer shows Edward being a brash and hot-tempered guy who wouldn't let something like common sense get in the way of his goals. His companion is the Jackdaw's quartermaster Adewale, who escaped slavery. He basically plays the role of Yin to Edward's Yang.

The list of characters in the game includes a mix of real-life historical and fictional figures such as Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard and Benjamin Hornigold. He acts as a mentor to Edward, while at the same time using fear and theatrics to create his own legend.Benjamin Hornigold was a gentlemanly pirate who had a personal code of ethics—quite unheard of in the pirates of the era. Hornigold wouldn't attack any ship that had the British flag.Ubisoft has been heavily promoting the game for quite some time with a bunch of videos. Earlier this month, for example, the company had released a next-gen trailer that showed off some of the technology making it to the PS4 and Xbox One version of Assassin's Creed 4. The trailer talked about various new technologies, such as the multi-layered sea engine to simulate the sea and the lighting technology that went into making the dynamic weather system. This could, for example, allow individually-illuminated rain drops.Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in November. The next-gen versions will be out on day one of the consoles’ respective launches, and the PC version doesn’t have a release date yet.
