Micromax on Monday announced Canvas 4, a smartphone that would replace Canvas HD as the company’s flagship Android phone.In terms of specifications, Canvas 4 is not much different from its predecessor. It is powered by MT6589, the quad-core processor made by MediaTek that also powers Canvas HD. Just like its predecessor, Canvas 4 also has a 5-inch screen with 720p resolution.

The device has 16GB internal storage and 1GB RAM; the storage is expandable with microSD card. It is powered by Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and has battery capacity of 2,000mAh. The phone has been priced at Rs 17,999.

The good thing of same hardware in both devices is we can use nearly all features of Micromax Canvas 4 in Micromax Canvas HD A116

1. Before You Begin:

1. Your Device must be rooted & with Custom Recovery Follow this method
2. Enable USB Debugging.
3. Your Device must be charged 50% Minimum.
4. Download & Install Micromax Canvas HD A116 Drivers Here
5. Backup Your Device data for your data safety.

2. Download Required Files:

3. Installing Canvas4HD Rom In Micromax Canvas HD A116:

1. Move the downloaded Custom Rom in External SD card of your device.
2. Switch off your device and boot into CWM recovery (By Pressing & Holding Volume UP + Power Key)
3. Use Volume Keys for Up/Down & Power Key for Select an Item
4. Now Wipe data/Factory reset with recovery
5. After Wiping data, Wipe Cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik Cache from Advanced.
6. Now Select install zip from sdcard in recovery and select the Canvas4HD rom you Download & Copy above.
7. The whole process will take 5-6 minutes.
8. After the installation complete go to main menu of recovery and select Reboot System now
9. First boot can take upto 10 mins...So do not take tension of it...
