Sony Joining the Tablet Race





Sony has recently joined the tablet race, with two distinctly designed devices – Tablet S and Tablet P- launching in India. Powered with Android Honeycomb, Sony tablets are fitted with copious features and applications. Sony has built its tablets to appeal to a wide section of users from passionate gamers, busy professionals, intrepid youngster, and multi-tasking homemakers. Sony alleges tablets are perfect for all, as the devices are made with great exactitude and, therefore, promise to deliver perfect combination of hardware, content, and network to ensure seamless usability. As we all know Sony devices are known for spewing stylish looks – Sony tablets are creating buzz for unique and stylish look!

Sony Tablet S

What makes difference is look!
Sony tablets don’t look like every Android tablets available to users. The devices are uniquely asymmetric that shift the center of balance to one side. Tablet S looks like a folded magazine - one side is thicker and more rounded and the other side coming to a much thinner point. This unique design plays a great role in balancing the tablets for long. It is a great pleasure to hold and use the tablets for hours. Tablet P comes with a dual screen design. The dual screen design is especially optimized for full-on-entertainment.

PlayStations certification
Sony tablets are fit with first series of PlayStation Certification. To satiate the hunger of avid gamers, the tablets come preinstalled with Crash Bandicoot and Pinball Heroes. More PlayStation services will be available over a time.

There are two versions in Tablet S – Wi-Fi version & 3G+Wi-Fi version. Sony has prices Tablet S Wi-Fi version at Rs 29,999 and Tablet S 3G+Wi-Fi version at Rs. 33,999. Tablet P is priced at Rs 36,999. The Sony tablets will be widely available across Indian stores from mid January 2012.
Eyeing on the growing IT market in India, Mr. Masaru Tamagawa, Managing Director, Sony India expects the tablet to gain rapid momentum in India the near future.
