Kazam, a new smartphone brand started by two ex-HTC UK executives, is now gearing up to introduce the first set of new devices in its line-up. The company, which was first announced in June, has now revealed a total of six new models on the company's official website. The listings come with a mid-range handset under the Thunder line and five lower-end devices in the Trooper range. Unlike HTC, which integrates its Sense UI over the OS, Kazam offers the stock Android experience with all of its new devices. The first on the list, the Thunder Q4.5, comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display sporting a resolution of 480x854 pixels. Under the hood, the device comes with a quad-core processor from MediaTek clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. The handset runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by an 1800mAh removable battery. In terms of photography, the Q4.5 comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus as well as a 2-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity options like 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Quad band have also been included.

Among the second range, the Trooper X5.5 is being offered with a 5.5-inch FWVGA display sporting a resolution of 480x854 pixels, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front shooter. Rounding up the package is a 2500mAh battery and support for 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and quad band. The other four smartphones in the Trooper range, the X5.0, the X4.5, the X4.0 and the X3.5, all come with similar specifications as the X5.5, but with varying display sizes ranging from 3.5 inches to 5 inches, like their names suggest. While announcing the new company, it was reported that Kazam was looking to come up with devices that are about "stunning design, robust hardware, and intuitive technology, underpinned with improved customer service.” While the specifications of the new devices seem run-of-the-mill, it is the live support that might turn out to be the keystone of the new brand. One of the new features, Kazam Rescue, will instantly put the user in touch with a support representative who can remotely solve your device's issue. The company will also replace the screen if it gets cracked within the first year for free. There is still no word yet on when the company plans to roll out the new devices or their price tags. At the time of announcement, the company’s founders had said that the devices would first be released in the European market. That could very well be the case. There is still no word about a possible Indian launch either.
