TalkTalk Mobile £3.50 contract could be the UK's cheapest SIM-only deal

TalkTalk Mobile has introduced a SIM-only mobile contract which costs just £3.50 a month - a deal the company is calling Britain's best priced phone plan.

The £3.50 package includes 100 minutes, 250 texts and 100MB of data, on a twelve month contract. If you prefer a monthly rolling contract, that price increases to £5.

The new contract prices come as part of the company’s tariff refresh, which also sees TalkTalk Mobile offer unlimited calls and texts for the first time. There are still three contract plans available to customers: the £3.50 per month Small option, in addition to Medium and Large.

The Medium package includes 500 minutes, unlimited text and up to 1GB of data. The Large tariff comes with unlimited minutes and texts and up to 4GB of data.

TalkTalk Mobile also provides "double the data" to customers that sign up online, bumping the £3.50 contract up to 200MB of monthly data. This still might not seem like a lot of data, especially compared to EE and Vodafone's 4G contracts, but could be ideal for anyone that isn't using a smartphone or rarely uses one to browse the web or send emails.

TalkTalk's Dan Meader said "With more handsets than people out there, our SIM only price plans are perfect for people who want to keep their current handset or hand it down to their children, without having to take a pricey contract. We want people to have more choice and flexibility".

The tariff changes come into effect this week.
