Specs and images of entry-level Nokia Lumia 525 leak

Looks like Nokia is about to give the refresh treatment for its low-end Lumia 520 Windows Phone 8 device. Noted smartphone tipster evleaks has revealed what are thought to be the press images of the Nokia Lumia 525, the obviously-named successor to the hot-selling Lumia 520.Despite the imminent changes in the company, not much has changed in the design department at Nokia. The rumoured 525 sports the characteristic Lumia design, with a wraparound polycarbonate shell that’s painted in a couple of bright colour options. It does look noticeably thinner than the Lumia 520, which is a nice achievement, especially if price remains more or less the same. Speaking of which, we have no idea about this device’s sticker, but we expect a very palatable price tag.

In terms of specs, an earlier leak says it will have a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) IPS LCD display, a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM. That’s twice the amount of RAM in the Lumia 520 and should serve to make things all the smoother on the phone. There’s expected to be 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, a measly1430mAh battery and a budget-conscious 5-megapixel shooter.Windows Phone 8 is said to be running things and the 525 could have dimensions of 119.9x64x9.9mm, and weigh about 124 grams. Connectivity options on the device are expected to include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AGPS, GPS, 3G and Micro-USB. Now if it can match the Lumia 520’s price tag, Nokia could have yet another budget winner on its hands.
