Passport services app, mPassport Seva, now available for iOS and Windows Phone users

The Ministry of External affairs now expands its mPassport Seva app for iOS and Windows Phone users. It will allow users access to all passport-related services right from their mobile devices. The app has already been available for Android.With mPassport users can track passport applications, locate Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) and get general information on how to obtain a passport. Under the app’s service menu, one can also calculate the fee to be paid while applying for the passport. Due to immense public response to the Android app, the Ministry decided to extend the apps to other platforms.

The Passport Seva Project is being executed by Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), and is one of the largest projects of the government under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) that is being executed in public-private-partnership mode with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as the private partner. The project is currently operational and servicing citizens through 77 Passport Seva Kendras across the nation.Users can download the mPassport Seva app for Android, iOS and Windows Phone for free.
