Capcom working on new unnamed fighting game

Capcom, better known as the guys who made Street Fighter and the whole fighting game genre, seems to be working on a new game. Street Fighter Producer Yoshinori Ono has tweeted that the company is looking for a game designer and programmer for an unnamed new fighting game. The development will take place at either the Capcom studio in Tokyo or Osaka.

Currently, the development team seems to be undecided on a platform on which the game will be launched. The company is just making preparations to start the development of the game right now. Capcom itself hasn’t said anything about the game yet.The company is currently gearing up to release an expansion to Street Fighter 4, dubbed Ultra Street Fighter 4. The game is set to hit Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC simultaneously early next year. It will be available to players for $14.99 (Rs 900 approx) digitally. It will also be sold as a standalone game for $39.99 (Rs 2,400 approx).

The standalone version of the update will include all the DLC characters that have been released for the game so far as well as all the DLC characters that will be making it to the game in the future.

The new characters in the update are Rolento, Poison, Hugo, Elena and a mysterious fifth character. The fifth character will be a completely original one designed from scratch. These characters are making their appearance in a mainline Street Fighter game after a long time.

However, four of these characters have already made it to another recent fighting game—Street Fighter X Tekken. However, X Tekken plays vastly differently from Street Fighter 4. Elena, Hugo and Poison made their last appearance in a mainline Street Fighter game back in Street Fighter 3: Third Strike.
