Samsung said to bring Tizen running devices to 2014's MWC

The HTML-5 based operating system developed with Intel, also collaborating parts from it's previous platform, bada, Tizen is reportedly running officially only on the lately unveiled smart camera, Samsung NX300M and on a few developer units.

According to the reports, the South Korean manufacturer was reported to launch the company's own Tizen operating system late this year, but then came in rumors for next year's Consumer Electronics Show. And now the Korean's have confirmed its announcement Tizen powered devices for 2014's Mobile World Congress.

As reports come in from the source, Samsung have already sent out it's invitations for their event that is to be held a day before MWC get's off the ground, on 23rd of February, 2014 in Barcelona, Spain, where the company was seemingly teasing "An exclusive sneak preview of the newest Tizen devices as well as an opportunity to learn about the major milestones that the Tizen project has hit since last year's event."

Pebble Smartwatch launching it's own App Store next year

Still handling your Pebble smartwatch with third-party apps? The best known handheld smartwatch compatible with both iOS and Android is about to hit with a dedicated Application Store, says Pebble Technology.

As said by the officials yesterday, the new Pebble App Store will be here by next year, 2014, following the announcement of Pebble SDK 2.0. The new App Store will remain in the original iOS and Android Pebble application, where developers will be able to publish their apps to the smartwatch users.

The new Pebble App Store will carry out seven categories, reading from Daily, Remotes, Fitness, Tools & Utilities, Notifications and Games. As sources writes, the company will highlight top apps in each category, where the new App Store will not encourage paid application, and will stay totally free. So if you want to charge for your application, then Pebble App Store is not the right place. Last but not the least, if your an app developer, then do check out Pebble's developer portal online.

MyGlass application was available on Apple's App Store, before it got pulled a while ago

Google's MyGlass application was available for free to download in the Apple's App Store, for iOS powered devices to control the $1500 worth fashionable and wearable American's technology.

As we are aware of what the application basically does, as seen on an Android smartphone application. The MyGlass app for iOS too allows it's users to initial setup the Glass, manage data networks and synced Glassware application's like the Google Search, Google+ and Gmail, locate a missing device using Google Maps, mirroring of what you see through the Glass to the display of your iPhone and it also assists in adding or removing certain contacts.

But unfortunately, the app is no more available in App Store, as it was removed by Google or Apple a while ago. We are still unclear of what made this happen all of a sudden.

Update: Following the recent XE12 update to the Glass, Google refreshed their support webpage and promises to bring the application back to Apple's App Store later this week.

Motorola Moto X is now available with natural Bamboo back

With this arrival, we keep up the words for the American manufacturer, to be a company that keeps it's promises. Days back, Motorola Solutions, Inc. promised us to introduce wooden backs for their 2013 flagship smartphone, the Moto X.

Yesterday, the company launched it's first option to the 'Natural' list above the plastic color options, on it's webpage, the motomaker.com, where the Americans now offer the Moto X with 'Bamboo' backs. "And yes, we now have smartphones with real wooden backs." Motorola also stated that, there will be no phones that will look alike.

While the initial quantities are limited, you are now able to post up your orders for this phone from the company's own domain, in which you will have to pay about $100 additional to the cost of the smartphone, and will not arrive until early January, 2014.

Nokia to hold rumored Android smartphone 'Normandy' release in 2014

Last week, we heard Nokia's plans of introducing Android powered smartphone, codenamed as Normandy, and the source stated the project is "Full Stream Ahead".

Today we have reports from a Chinese webpage, reporting that the Finnish company is still ahead with the plans of Asha smartphones, but the Android project seems to thinner. They had been working on several number of Android smartphone prototypes in it's internals, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 running seven-inches tablet. The team and the project was reportedly led by Peter Skillman, who was the former Vice President of Nokia's MeeGo Ux and Services and Design.

Accordingly, Nokia will not be able to sell Nokia branded devices for the next two years, as a part of it's acquisition to the Redmond company. And now, the company has suspended it's plans with the reported Android smartphones and tablets program. As we read on, the source have also stated that the company suspended their Android plans without any direct words from Microsoft. Nevertheless, these works were done from a separate division, that isn't coming under the Microsoft deal.

What news makes an entry today, is that the company is focusing on new technology, like the wireless power transmission, low power electromagnetic energy generation, flexible displays, graphene sensors and the latest trend of wearable technology, probably a smartglass, which is in the Finnish company's production line, that is to make it's way to the public by 2015. Either way, we keep our hopes flame high for Nokia, to hit back strong in the emerging markets.

Samsung shows-off Game Pad for Galaxy Note 3

Playing games on a large portable screen is always desiring, and with the power of Android operating system and a smartphone like the South Korean's 2013 phablet flagship, the Galaxy Note 3, we must say the fun is building up.

So do the company decided to add a new improved unit to the Galaxy fleet's gaming capabilities, turning Android gaming and your new Galaxy Note 3 into a total gaming console, where the Korean manufacturer Samsung went officially introducing the Game Pad. A joystick that can be one touch paired with your phablet via Near Field Communication (NFC) or Bluetooth 4.0 support.

As said by the retailer, the Galaxy Note 3 can be safely and securely fitted in the retractable clip. The new low power consumption Samsung made Game Pad consists of two traditional looking analogs, shoulder button, D-Pad, four action tap buttons and full mobile control buttons. The console also features microUSB port for charging the battery.

The Indian consumer electronic company, Micromax unveils a new Android smartphone named Canvas 2.2 A114. 

It will come out of the box with a MediaTek MT6582M SoC Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor, 5-inches qHD screen with the resolution of 540 x 960 display, 4GB internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot), 1GB RAM, 8 megapixels primary camera and 2 megapixels front camera, 2,000mAh powered battery and runs Android version 4.2 Jelly Bean. This device will be up for grabs for about US Dollars 210.

Huawei announces two new Android devices, the Honor 3X phablet and Honor 3C smartphone

Huawei unveils their two new models of Androids to the Chinese based company's Honor fleet, one seemingly being a larger phablet and another a smartphone, but both with dual-SIM capabilities.

First up its the company's latest model of phablet as seen in the above picture, marking it's screen sizes wide with a 5.5-inches IPS screen of Full High Definition 720p resolution display, where the company claims going 1080p would drain about more 20 percent of it's battery life, an Octa-Core Cortex-A7 SoC with MediaTek MT6592 processor clocked 1.7GHz, 2 gigabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM), 13 megapixels primary camera on the back with LED flash light and a 5 megapixels front facer. The Huawei Honor 3X will feature dual-3G SIM card slots, one with mini-SIM and another with micro-SIM, both working on WCDMA and TD-SCDMA, also the smartphone is powered with a 3,000mAh battery and boots Android.

The device sports dual-mic system for in-call noise cancellation, and supports DTS audio. And according to the price, the newly announced Huawei Honor 3X will up for sales for around 280 Unites Sates Dollars, we still have no availability info, just yet.

The Huawei Honor 3C is the model with coming out of the box with a Quad-Core Cortex-A7 chipset with a MediaTek MT6582 processor running at 1.3GHz, a five-inches LPTS screen with Full High Definition 720p resolution display, hitting in eight gigabytes of internal mass memory (expandable via microSD card slot), one and two gigabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM) selection, Sony's eight megapixels primary camera with LED flash light, the same five megapixels front facer from the 3X, dual-SIM card slots supporting WCDMA + GSM or TD-SCDMA + GSM, a 2,300mAh powered batery and features Google's Android version 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Samsung unveils Galaxy Core Advance

Samsung introduces another member to it's budget friendly line-up, the new Galaxy Core Advance. A successor to it's sibling models Galaxy Core and Core Plus. Moreover looking like the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active with South Korean's bringing back the physical buttons in use with there new mid-ranger Android powered smartphone.

The new Samsung Galaxy Core Advance will pack a Dual-Core processor running at 1.2GHz, 4.7-inches TFT screen of WVGA resolution display, eight gigabytes of internal memory (expandable via microSD card slot), a gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), five megapixels primary camera with LED flash light and a VGA front facer, Bluetooth 4.0 and third generation (3G) connectivity on board, a 2,000mAh powered battery and packs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Coming in Deep Blue and Pearl White color option, the Galaxy Core Advance will be measured at 133.3 x 70.5 x 9.7 millimeters in dimensions and weighs about 145 grams in total. This new unit will be up for sales by the early months of the coming year, 2014, we still have no words on it's pricing.

LG announces GX smartphone for the Koreans

The South Korean multinational conglomerate corporation LG is wrapping up the American weekend with one more large screen sized smartphone, an LTE refresher to the company's previous model Optimus G Pro. The Korean company goes official with LG GX in it's homeland.

Packing features from the Korean's flagship G2, the new LG GX will come out of the box with 'Knock On' screen lock and unlock facilities. The new smartphone will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 5.5-inches IPS Full High Definition LCD screen of 1080p resolution display, 32 gigabytes of mass memory, two gigabytes of Random Access Memory, 13 megapixels main camera with LED flash light, LTE connectivity support with VoLTE features on board and a 3,140mAh powered battery.

The Black and White painted devices are measured at 150.6 x 76.1 x 9.2 millimeters in dimensions and 167 grams in weight. We still believe this to be a Korean exclusive as the device runs on LG U+ network, there is no news about it's availability or pricing yet.

LG made Google Nexus 5 receives minor hardware tweaks

This happened previously too, South Korean LG manufactured Google's 2012 flagship Nexus 4 was also a part of this treatment. And now we have the company's latest model too undergoing minor hardware tweaks with their latest shipment.

Junior XDA-Developers forum member made in note that, due to several manufacturing defects, many of the users have chosen to send back their devices to receive a new one in it's place. The defects were basically described as, "Dancers and Noisy Buttons", "SIM card tray protruding" and "Cutting edge display frame".

As the reports suggests, the new products are hitting the store shelves with better and larger speaker and microphone holes on the bottom and the buttons seems to be more firmly fixed. But according to the newly built screen, the new models come with a more yellowish display and a few green struck pixels. Google removes 'App Ops' in the latest update of Android 4.4.2

When Google introduced it's new version of Android 4.4 KitKat, there also came in a new option from the company to manage application permissions. 

As already seen in Apple's operating system iOS, this new option dubbed as 'App Ops', basically allows the user to restrict certain apps from accessing your Location, Contacts or even Camera.

But unfortunately, the option is now seen no more with the latest update of Google's platform, Android's 4.4.2 KitKat. According to the company, the application permission was released by a mistake, where the feature was not yet consumer friendly. It is also said that, continuing usage of this initial feature could reportedly bring-up certain errors in various apps.

HTC One Max coming in Black coat for Hong Kong

The latest add-on of the Taiwanese One family is now receiving an update on it's color code, as the enormous HTC One Max gets coated in the new color, coming in Black this time. "HTC One in Brilliant Gold & One max in Black now arrive in Hong Kong," states the company in their Press Release.

The newly painted model gets introduced to the Hong Kong markets, where the company paints their 5.9-inches screen variant of the flagship in a complete Black coat, on it's metals and plastics from all sides. And if you seems to hold an address in Hong Kong, you are able to grab one piece of unlocked model at a price about 800 USD, where the units are already available from yesterday, 12th of December.

Sony sends invites to their CES Press Conference, marked for January 6

Sony is quietly pushing out it's invites to the company's Press Conference scheduled on 6th of January, 2014 at LVCC, Central Hall Booth, which is a day before we light the fire for the new year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES), an internationally renowned electronics and trade show, being held at Las Vegas, Nevada, United Sates.

The Japanese people don't have a lot to speculate for this year's show from their smartphone business, other than they are rumored to introduce a new Windows 8 and  Xperia tablets. But we still hope to see the miniature version of the Z1, the previously talked about Sony Xperia Z1S. So if you wish to peep in the show, be on time at 5:00 PM Local.

Lenovo releases S930 and S650

The Chinese multinational technology company, Lenovo has announced two new android devices named, S930 and S650. We have got it's details and the specifications of these devices.

The Lenovo S930 will come out of the box with a MediaTek 6852 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor, six-inches screen with 720p display with 245ppi, 8GB internal memory (expandable via microSD card slot), 1GB RAM, 8 megapixels primary camera with a flah and 1.6 megapixels front camera and 3,000mAh powered battery.

The Lenovo S650 will come out of the box with a MediaTek 6852 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor, 4.7-inches qHD screen with 720p display with 245ppi, 8GB internal memory (expandable via microSD card slot), 1GB RAM, 8 megapixels primary camera with a flash and 1.6 megapixels front camera and 2,000mAh powered battery. This device will be available in a Dual-Sim variant too.

Both these devices will available by the end of this month. The price of Lenovo S930 is $427 and the Lenovo S650 is $366.

Sony launches new Dual USB Flash Drive for Androids

Sony's first new accessory for the new year is to be a dual USB Flash Drive, that can be both connected to a computer and and Android smartphone or tablet. From it's design, made out of durable metal body, that fits your personal computer needs with a 2.0 Universal Serial Bus (USB) port and well slips in to an Android smartphone or tablet with a microUSB port on the other side. The new flash drive also consists of a LED light indication and strap hole.

Sony's new portable flash memory drive supports USB On-The-Go (OTG) functionality out of the box, allowing it's users to connect it to any Android devices running version 4.0.3 Jelly Bean or above. 

Sony has also made available a compatible file manager application for their new device in the Google Play Store. Coming in 8, 16 and 32 gigabytes of memory and three color options from White, Black and Purple. The size of the gadget is comparatively small that is measured at 18.9 x 9 x 31.4 millimeters in dimensions and weighs only six grams.

The new Japanese made units are to be available globally by next month, January, at a price of $19.99, $29.99 and $62.99 respectively.

Nokia's plans with Normandy is still "Full Stream Ahead," says reports

If you are not aware, the Finnish communications and information technology multinational corporation Nokia, was reportedly in plans to introduce an Android smartphone, and now the chances of seeing the smartphone go official is really narrow, before the acquisition of Nokia devices and it's service units to Microsoft deal turns out real.

But now, the flames are still on as the sources states that the company's Android project is "Full Stream Ahead", where the new handset rumored to carry out Android operation system is codenamed Normandy internally. And according to the smartphone you see above, the Lumia style device was posted on Twitter earlier by the top leakster evleaks on date of 25th of November, 2013.

What is being speculated now is that Nokia is developing a low-priced budget friendly Android smartphone that will be equivalent to it's Asha line-up, it is also said that the Normandy supports Android application like Skype and other popular apps on the same platform. As we read ahead, the Nokia employees working on the Normandy project were also informed that the device is planned for a 2014 release.

Samsung sells 10 Million Galaxy Note 3's in the first two months

A new member had it's position nailed to the 10 Million Seller Club of Samsung, a company that is improving day by day, have another record sales figure to hold in hands. The South Korean multinational conglomerate corporation just needed a couple of months to ship 10 Million units of it's 2013 phablet to the popular series, the Galaxy Note 3.

Proving it's success stories and improvements, we would like to mention that the company just took 50 days to ship their 2013 flagship model and the very popular, Samsung Galaxy S4, and from the past, the Galaxy Note II's of 2012 had taken four months and a half to reach the 10 Million mark, which was too a record at those times.

Ubuntu Touch operating system coming with high-end smartphones in 2014

Canonical's mobile based operating system Ubuntu Touch, which is also a Linux adoption, is all set to come pre-installed on high-end smartphones by next year, 2014. 

Canonical and Ubuntu's Founder and Chief Operating Officer Mark Shuttleworth made it clear, that the company has signed it's first ever deal with the manufacturer, in one of his latest interviews with the media, held at LeWeb conference.

"We have concluded our first set of agreements to ship Ubuntu on mobile phones. We've shifted gears from 'making a concept' to 'it's going to ship.' That has a big impact on the team," said Shuttleworth.

While the manufacturer is still being under the shadows, we also have doubts regarding it's compatibility in future with the previously fragmented Ubuntu Touch OS for Android smartphones, as this is an open-source project.

"We make no claims for Android compatibility, but we make it super easy for you to target both at the same time and super cool for you to do so," added the CEO.

ASUS announces Padfone mini 7-inches tablet and 4.3-inches phone

Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronic company, ASUS has announced new Padfone mini which has a 7-incher tablet with a 4.3-incher smartphone. It is a smaller variant of the Padfone Infinity.

It will come out of the box with a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon MSM8226 processor, the tablet has resolution of 800 x 1280 and the phone's resolution is 540 x 960, 16 gigabytes internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot), 1GB RAM, the tablet has 2,200mAh powered battery and the phone's is 1,500mAh powered battery and it runs Android version 4.3 Jelly Bean.

This device will be available to Taiwanese, Russian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Chinese and Indonesian markets. They might bring this to US markets as well. The price of this device is $405.
