Glassdoor has released its sixth annual Employees’ Choice Awards, which includes a list of the 50 best places to work for in the coming year. While Facebook enjoyed the top spot for the last three years, it has now been dethroned by rival social network Twitter, which has emerged as the tech company employees would be most happy to work at. What makes this a big deal is that this is the first time that Twitter has even entered the top 50 roll. Glassdoor determines the ranking based on responses from employees. And it looks like Twitter keeps its staff very happy.

Facebook has lost more places than one. The world's most popular social network has now been pushed down to the third spot in the tech category and to the fifth spot overall. LinkedIn takes the second spot behind Twitter in the tech companies list, and is in third position overall. Overall, Bain & Company is said to be the company you would like working at the most. Other companies that have made it to the top 10 among tech companies include Google on the sixth spot and Qualcomm on the eight position. Apple takes the 16th spot as the best tech company and 35th position overall. In all 22 tech companies were ranked among the top 50 best places to work in 2014.
