Nike rumored to introduce a full fledged smartwatch in 2014

Nike, being an American multinational corporation engaged in sports goods, who already owns the line-up of Nike+ FuelBand products and Nike+ Sportwatch GPS, basically all functioned as an activity tracker, where the FuelBand SE can also be connected to an iOS running smartdevice with Bluetooth 4.0 support on board, is now entering the world of smartwatches.

According to the new sources, the allegedly reported device has already entered it's trial production period at the American supply chain, EMS firm Flextronics International. As we read on the lines, the new hardware of wearable technology merges components from their current FuelBand's motion tracking technology and capabilities of showing all kinds of incoming connectivity notifications.

The new unit is to arrive by the first half of next year, 2014, which can cause a serious challenge to Addidas's smartwatch, miCoach, that packs support for Android, iOS and Windows Phone 8.
